Revel Miller, PhD
Revel owns and manages his own business, just like his advisory clients. He knows what financial planners are up against and how to operate a small proprietary service business. He knows how to create a brand and market professional services.
After coaching numerous financial advisors, Revel began to create a curriculum and educational materials for his clients. From his direct insider experiences with clients in the field, he developed the practical programs and services he offers today at Practice Builders.
Revel knows the obstacles to success and how marketing and revenue breakthroughs are achieved in independent financial firms. He understands the rules and regulations of the financial industry and the marketing policies and procedures amongst broker dealers. Moreover, Revel understands client care and management and how to run a professional service business.
Revel comes from a family with a long history of owning and managing brokerage and investment banking firms since 1925. His grandfather started Revel Miller & Company and his father was a partner on Wall Street.
Throughout his life, Revel has been exposed to many conversations about the financial industry, the markets and investments. For Revel, the financial industry is in his blood. Working with financial planners and advisors is very comfortable and seems quite natural to him. He is a “Revel with a Cause”.
Today, Revel keeps up with the markets and is an active investor. He lives in Santa Barbara, California, where he enjoys many outdoor activities.
While my model is slightly different from many advisors, the same basic concepts apply, and the same things that hold back all advisors were holding me back at the time… In that time you calmly and thoughtfully guided me to a better understanding of what changes I needed to make to return to a growth mode in my practice, and you then held me accountable for implementing those changes. These were not complex, difficult, or expensive changes; they involved attitude and expectations as much as money and strategy. But you constantly and consistently helped me move to the place I needed to go.
The results for me have been quite startling. In a financial world that has come apart at the seams since 2007, my firm has nearly tripled in size and value. Your work with me was crucial in making the changes that had to be made, setting me on the right path to achieve what you believed I could achieve. We have become a leading firm in our niche, and all the while I have worked less while overseeing this growth. You have truly helped me achieve my goals. I am enormously grateful to you for your help, and while I can’t offer you stock in my company as a thank you, I can certainly give a wholehearted recommendation to anyone else considering using your services.
